      The area is home to mostly large, early-20th-century, single-family homes surrounding Hillcrest Park that overlook the city.       Hillcrest Village is a recognized Toronto neighbourhood located 15 minutes from downtown Toronto. The area is home to mostly large, early-20th-century, single-family homes surrounding Hillcrest Park that overlook the city.

      Bracondale Hill, also known as Hillcrest, is an upper-middle-class neighbourhood located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Annexed by the old City of Toronto in 1909 and developed in 1911 from the Turner estate, Bracondale Hill is in the western end of midtown Toronto and stretches above Davenport Road and below St. Clair Avenue West.  It also includes the neighbourhoods known as “Humewood” located north of St. Clair Avenue West and “Hillcrest” located south of St. Clair Avenue West. Hillcrest Village boasts beautiful tree-lined streets making one feel far away from the buzzing city. There are many one-way streets and cul-de-sacs minimizing traffic, and a high number of multi-functional green areas nearby, including Cedarvale Park to the north and Hillcrest Park to the south, these quiet neighbourhoods are often sought after by young families.  It boasts many multicultural restaurants and shops that are located nearby on St. Clair West to the north, and on Davenport Road/Ossington Avenue to the southwest of the neighbourhood

      Young professionals, singles, and families now are among the residents who have been living in the neighbourhood their whole life.

      Further west along St. Clair is Corso Italia home to the second largest Italian community in Toronto infusing the area with Italian culture.

      Corso Italia is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated on St. Clair Avenue West, between Westmount Avenue (just east of Dufferin Street) and Lansdowne Avenue. It is contained within the larger city-recognized neighbourhood of Corso Italia-Davenport, which is bounded on the west by the CNR tracks, on the north by a line north of Morrison Avenue, on the east by Westmount Avenue and Oakwood Avenue, and on the south by Davenport Road.

      The neighbourhood includes numerous cafés, clothing shops, shoe stores, restaurants, food markets, as well as several gelaterias and bakeries. The community is considered Toronto's second Italian neighbourhood after Little Italy on College Street. There is also a significant Latin American and Portuguese community in the area.

      There are significant Latin American Spanish and Portuguese communities contributing to its growth and making a significant impact as well. Cedarvale to the north and Forest Hill to the east of Humewood is home to a large Jewish community whose children are making their way to Hillcrest Village joining a large migration of young entrepreneurs, professionals and young families from various religious and cultural backgrounds drawn to the vibrancy of Hillcrest Village.

      These areas, Humewood and Hillcrest,  Bracondale and Corso Italia, are forever bonded by the new St. Clair Avenue West Streetcar Project which divides these two areas between north and south. The new streetcar project was developed to expedite traffic, to encourage more people to walk the streets, promote new business development and business improvement as well as to beautify its streetscape. It will, undoubtedly, enhance the desirability and beauty of Hillcrest Village and continue to make it that much more appealing to young families.
